Hi I'm OOHYO and this is my first EP album, Girl Sense. I think writing music is like taking pictures, both ways of capturing a moment's feelings and thoughts.

I wrote the songs for this album to put together images and monologues of my late teens and early twenties, that sometimes thrill me, sometimes turn me melancholy, sometimes leave me unsure or unaware of my own feelings.
Though I'm only beginning to discover my own potentials as a musician, I hope this album serves as hope and encouragement to those who can identify with it. Thanks for checking it out.

안녕하세요 우효입니다. 음악은 저에게 사진을 찍는 것과 같은 의미인 것 같습니다. 18살 때의 내 얼굴을 사진으로 남기고 간직하고 싶은 것처럼 18살 무렵에 내가 했던 생각, 느꼈던 감정들을 시간이 지나서도 느낄 수 있게 캡쳐해 놓고 싶다는 생각으로 노래를 만들었습니다.

이번 앨범은 제가 고등학생 때부터 최근까지 만든 곡들로, 어린 아이도 아니고 그렇다고 여자라고 보기에도 아직은 미숙한 애매하고도 소중한 저의 소녀 시절을 담아 놓은 앨범입니다. 저는 글을 쓰거나 말을 할 때 제가 아는 것, 경험한 것들보다는 현재의 감정과 기분을 정확하게 표현하려고 하는 편입니다. 제 노래들도 뚜렷한 스토리를 들려주기보다는 복잡한 심리와 다양한 감정들을 소리로 전달하는데 초점을 두고 있습니다.

소녀의 가장 중요한 특징은 아직 지치지 않았다는 점인 것 같습니다. 한창 때의 소녀들마저 지치고 우울하게 하는 사회 속에서 어디서 나오는지 알 수 없는 용기와 지혜로 빛을 내는 모든 소녀들 (그리고 소년들)을 응원합니다.

많이 부족하지만 제 음악이 여러분에게 작은 기쁨이라도 드릴 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다.
